Why does Afrihost not offer any trial uncapped accounts?

I called the call centre and was told that only the capped accounts are offered as a trial.
This doesn't help seeing that they will be routed and shaped completely differently.

How am I meant to move to a service (which is a cumbersome process when you move your circuit as well) when I am unsure of the kind of service I will receive from the product?

Furthermore, with the circus that is MTN servicing Afrihost with bandwidth and all of the previous MTN backbone issues, how can I be sure that I will get what I need?

Any suggestions for another ISP who does offer uncapped trials and does a bundle 10Mb/s uncapped deal at R900?

to be honest, i was thinking of moving to Telkom...apparently EVERY isp HAS to go through Telkom...so what the hell...can just go to Telkom and call it a day...what do you think?
PS: skip the "middle-man"...lol

Routing on capped and uncapped is exactly the same, it's only the shaping applied which is different (only on Home Uncapped). Also we only shape P2P, so realtime experience should be pretty much the same.

We don't offer trial accounts, but we do offer a signup discount for your first month with us. If you're not happy within 60 days, you can always make use of our Double Your Money Back guarantee. This means there is really no risk whatsoever in signing up with us, so we really don't feel there is a need to offer trial accounts :)

Drop me a PM and I'll chat to you about signup discounts :)
