Good day all,

I see AfriHost has this R1-00 for 250mb offer, and linking to this it has other DSL services. I would like to ask how is their Internet services?

At the moment I have Mweb- 2Mb uncapped home package.

Was thinking of upgrading to 4mb premium. So was just looking at options.

What does everyone's feedback look like AfriHost VS Mweb.
 
As a biased person, i have no issues with Afrihost. The 250mb is their mobile data which is on promo. But dsl, no complaints.

In my experience, their service is good. Also, they've recently dropped their prices...

If you are going to go 4mbps, it's probably cheaper and better in getting an unshaped Afrihost capped account. You get uncapped from 12pm to 18pm everyday even over weekends.
 
To make an informed decision you will have to browse the forum.
 
Afrihost by far! I wouldnt use mweb at all. i like the fact that even if you have a afrihost capped account, most of the day is automatically uncapped anyway..

We've got a few specials on at the moment, just here's my very biased 2c ;)
We're doing a R1 pro-rata special on DSL, so if you sign up for an account before month end you'll only pay R1 pro-rata, along with R1 as a once off, for 250MB Mobile data.

Then there's also Double Data and Free-Time for Capped. So if you grab a 20GB account you'll have 40GB to use alongside Free-Time which zero rates data used between 0:00 and 18:00, so your monthly allocated cap is only really used between 18:01 and 23:59.

If you want to try us out there's the R1 pro-rata special I mentioned, or you can grab a 1GB Free account too :)

Thank you all for your input. I'm just scared because I previously wanted to change to open web, or Telkom, but I hear bad things about them. And I know mweb isn't better. But I think in general there will be bad words and good words.

I think AfriHost is promising. So I will change to AfriHost!

Hi,

A long time ago (When you guys have the 1 GB special) I already signed up to the free 1gb

But now I also signed up for the R1-00 special.

I think I will give AfriHost a try.

Glad I could contribute :) If you haven't cancelled that 1GB package it should still be active for use, drop me a line if your DSL line number has changed though so I can update our system.

Stay where you are dude. I`m also on the MWEB 4Mbps Premium product atm. Been with Afrihost ( they were good ) , then Telkom ( not great experience ) and now MWEB. If you stream , there`s no better product than MWEB Premium.

lol are you kidding me? You're talking about the Mweb that can't diagnose line faults? The same mweb that requires 1 calendar moth notice to cancel?

Wow, you must be one of the little handful of people happy with their service. Kinda like finding a happy openweb user. Apparently they are out there?
