The Afrikaans dictionary/language pack is only an add-on you can download and enable to have Afrikaans support.

Try installing ubuntuzilla. I haven't tried to install the Afrikaans version of Firefox, but I'm sure you can specify which version you want.

This may also help.

Thanks but I already have the dictionary, but I want the application in Afrikaans. In Windows it is simple because it downloads the Afrikaans version automatically (I don't know why, probably a locality setting) or you can select it from the list. But in Ubuntu it just gives a list of Firefox versions without the possibility to choose a language.
It is not just a dictionary in Linux, it is a complete language pack for firefox.
