Hi all,

Does anyone know if anyone has an after hours package, that is uncapped? I would never even need to use the bandwidth during the day. Axxess Express is AWESOME, but still....

How about a R500 - R600 8to8 After hours only Uncapped account.?

Oh And for a 4Mb connection?! 384 and 512 is the pits!

Axxess is the cheapest at R999 for 4 mbps after hours ... that is unless you know people ;)

how much can you download on your axxess line ?
i'm on 4mb but i'm thinking of getting uncapped..
for the past few months my bandwidth costs are around R750/ month for 50G-60 GB
an extra 250 is worth it if i can get 800 GB monthly..how do those guys do it?

Easy!! I downloaded +- 1.5Gigs an hour during uncapped time. That is roughly 90Gigs in one weekend if my maths are correct. and then Plus the possibility to do 72gigs during the week.
all in all just downloading during that time you can get close on 685Gigs a month roughly.
And thats just download! and excluding any downloading during peak times.

I am loving my Axxess Express+ but just a little pricey at the moment, as i am getting married at the end of the year and need to save a bit.

It's easy. And that is only downloading after hours. But to get the most out of your line you need to also sign up with an international news server (an extra R80 a month).

Using that... you can get around 15 to 18 gigs a night and around 80 Gigs for a weekend.

I'm hankering for this product!!! Such brilliant value for money and I am currently paying Cybersmart R1250 per month (including line rental) so the cost is acceptable. Only reason I haven't gone with Axxess is on moral grounds... Built up a pleasant repoire with Laurie and I wouldn't want to betray that...

Looks like there is something in the pipeline though with SAOL regarding similar packages....

Development server though so nothing official...

yeah, i have been told about news servers but have never used one..
which ones do you recommend ?

EDIT: i just saw the link you provided, thanks.

I use Axxess for R999 a month for their uncapped after hours account and manage 700-800GB a month but you get the same deal from BIC(I think that's the name) for a little less and openweb also sell this package for a couple of hundred rand more. As for the best way to download content either newservers such as Astraweb or Giganews or I prefer file hosts such as rapidshare or megaupload. I actually got a lifetime megaupload account for R1000- there are no limits to downloads and it's a once off cost for the rest of your life. If you do go with file hosting then you need to download a downloader program such as Orbit, Jdownloader or IDM and then find a couple of websites that post links of the stuff you want to download. If you PM me I can send you the links for a few websites that have all the HD movies, normal movies, HD TV series, ebooks, music games and just about anything you could possibly want.

Just a question on this package.
It says it has only 1 concurrent connection.
Does that mean only 1 pc can be connected with it? So even if I have the settings saved in my router, and have two pc's on my network, only one person can be connected at a time? how does that work?

Where do you save all this data? How many terrabytes of data will you be doing overtime? Would it not be worth just watching the pr0n online?

If you save the settings in your router then all the computers on your network can use that connection.

From what i've seen Imagine, Axxess, Openweb and iConnect sell the same After Hours 4MB account...

Although I believe that SAINET are bringing out something that might be very worthwhile looking at as well.

You really want to think about that. Wife vs Uncapped. Hmmm.... not sure I'd be making any snap decisions... It's all downhill from here, Dude. Wives are a costly business and they inevitably lead to having kids. You don't know the meaning of the word "Pricey" until you've had kids. You've be shoveling that cash down the drain.

Stick to the uncapped. You'll save yourself a fortune in the long run.
