Forget about low and high. these have no meaning. Take the first three that show an interest. More than that gets problematic.....

I've dated a 10 year age difference both ways, I've given up dating now but in a few more years I might consider dating again with a 20 year age gap, in one direction this time.

A bit less than 2 years. I like it - means the major milestone birthdays are spread out a bit, having children is an easier talk.
A good mate is getting married next year - he just turned 40, I think she's still in her 20s. We gave him a lot of stick when they first started dating but she's really good people; she's an old soul and he's young at heart so it works out for them. As long as there's common ground reckon it doesn't matter, especially the older you both are.
