AI Development general thread.

And so it begins...
Oh look people can't read the bible; oh **** people can read now

Or

Oh look people don't know what's really going on; oh **** people have internet now

Or

Oh people can form or digest at speed; oh **** llms

?

Back in the we had the anarchist cookbook so in all of this nothing new vs control and defer of information.

ANC did one thing correct though by keeping the majority dumb as **** and in doing so none these patterns matters when it can't be processed mentally.

Yeah but back then I could hop on my bicycle with a box of disks and go pirate it. This is a little different…

Guess I'm addicted to Claude code now.

Been on the $20/m plan for a few months... really started using it heavily this last few days for a side project. Hit my 5-hour usage limit and was just gonna wait it out (1 hour left)... ended up buying credits.

Anyone had a fiddle with this?

So Claude code is very much different to the Claude app, with some recommending beginning the journey of creating an app on Claude web/app then do the fine tuning in Claude code which can edit the actual file - no more copying/pasting/downloading?

I only started yesterday , will have to begin some YouTube videos I guess.

Anyone want to evaluate or already tried out Gemma 4 12B?

Downloaded this weekend, set up hermes and its first task tonight is to summarize a list of 10 newsletters with operlaping stories lets see how it goes.

Sadly I was referring to another situation 😓

Oh I wasn’t quite sure as it was a bit of a confusing post.

You mean more like being blocked from innovating because they want it done the old school way?

Fortunately also not a problem. Driver in this case comes from the top to allow more non-engineering types to get concepts off the ground.

Nah, pretty much exactly what I said in that controls and governance are seen as blockers and obstacles vs quality and safety concerns and can be overridden.

Nothing wrong with getting more out there by non engineering but it's a big differance between local RAD and public production, well sustainable production.

My personal opinions are that non-engineer submissions need to go through the same rigorous process. It's not blocker but a safeguard. You can automate and have ai assisted all over but whether it's engineer written or non, same scrutiny.

Automated peer review?
