I hope it handles other languages better. Took some trial and error. Figured out what words it has issues with and such.We might be getting Suno v5 soon. They've just dropped a teaser a few hours ago.
Yeah uploading to streaming sites, without putting out a notice that it is AI is an issue for me. Before the AI music creation craze, automation has been widely used, lots of artists have used preset loops, or used ideas from somewhere else. Artists crying wolf but they themselves have used generative presets and beats lonnnnng before AI is a bit........WTF to me.I find AI-generated audio both fascinating and disgusting at the same time. The software engineer side of me can appreciate the cool tech behind it and the musician side of me gets the heebie jeebies knowing that millions of hours of AI slop music is flooding streaming services and so many people are completely oblivious.
I would never listen to AI generated music for enjoyment though, out of curiosity sure. To me music should be something personal from the artist's imagination and personal experiences and not something they just threw credits at and chose the best option.Yeah uploading to streaming sites, without putting out a notice that it is AI is an issue for me. That said it takes some effort to create an AI song if you want decent quality, yes there is some that totally relies only on AI but there area few of us that actually write lyrics with AI assistance, I don't have issue with that. I would write out lyrics partially or lyrical ideas, construct and tighten it after that, with or without AI, add things like vocal chops, echoes, intro/ break down, outro melody, voice changes, speed and instrument style. Plus I test several versions till it is actually well rounded.
This one for example took over 50 credits to get just the right vibe, instrumental beat, echoes, and vocal chops at the right places.
AI is right in my channel name. I don't hide anything. It is a little fun hobby for me, and getting decent views. Have over 240 videos up and not a single person has complained it being AI
I hate to break it to you, but "real" musicians are using AI and have been for a while, especially in the production and mixing processes by automating tasks as well as songwriting. Many well established artists have used AI as a companion for songwriting.I would never listen to AI generated music for enjoyment though, out of curiosity sure. I get not everybody has the same opinion on what music should be though, but to me AI music isn't music in that sense. Just like AI "art" isn't art.
I guess it's for people that just want a beat to tap their foot to, and that's a huge market.
It also really sucks that these companies are just getting away with using copyright material for the training data. I thought these services would have had to shut down months ago already from all the lawsuits, but apparently not.
