I'm looking for some info around starting to play AION and some of the typical issues we have with games like Lag using connection x from ISP y. Bandwidth usage per hour. How much is my download for updates going to be.

I currently still play WOW but really looking around for something else.

Aion is rubbish, save yourself the trouble

Look into LOTRO instead

Aion is a typical Asian RPG with an insane amount of grind.
