Cooling failure causes Dimension Data data centre outage

A cooling system failure has caused outages for several Dimension Data customers hosted in the company’s Victory Park data centre, an industry source has told MyBroadband.

According to the source, Dimension Data appointed a new vendor that serviced the data centre’s air conditioners on Monday.

Gallo manor staff could learn a thing or two from this

Wait until the Japanese bosses see that...:rolleyes:o_O

Good question, AfricanTech-San.
I mean, what kind of mickey mouse operation are they running with zero redundancy in place for planned maintenance?

Who tf did they appoint to do the work? OJT Aircon's r US aka Oom Japie and Tshepo's BEE Aircon Servicing Kompany?

To add insult to injury, no one reported it up the line and senior management only found out when customers started complaining - wtf where they doing while their DC overheated.

Shees no skaam from DD, the dust hasn’t even settled and they are already pushing for price increases

Dear Jade,

As part of our ‘One Dimension Data’ strategy, we are standardising our offerings across the business to deliver greater value to our clients.

In line with this initiative, we will be realigning prices of our Data Centre services from 1 October 2022.

The revised pricing will only apply to clients that are out of contract. All of our clients residing in our Data Centres require contract that are up to date. Our clients can now contract in the following ways:
  • 12 Months (Retail)
  • 36 Months (Enquire for discount structure)
  • 60 Months (Enquire for discount structure)
We believe our premium offering is competitively priced and most of our clients will enjoy the same high level of service, with greater simplification and commercial benefits.

Starting with simpler, portable aircon?
