Hope there is some camping enthusiasts among is that can help me.

I recently bought a new Intex Downy Queen Airbed with the built in pump (manual). Last night I decided to try it out infront of the telly and after a couple of hours or a brief nap later I allready noticed some deflation.

At first I thought nothing of it and gave it a few pumps and proceeded to spend the night on it with the misses. This morning waking up it had deflated to the point where I sit up only to have my cheeks meet the tiles. From my experience mild deflation should only be noticible after 2 or 3 nights.

Now my question to you is should I take it back or is this normal behaviour? I'm not gonna go through the hassle of checking for leaks if its still swopable. I did check the valves and caps they we're all tightly secured.

Thanks in advance for any help!

It has a puncture or bad seal somewhere. Putting a soft blanket underneath does help a bit when trying to keep it from getting punctured or retain heat. Putting a thick rubber sheet (if you can still get them) on the side that is touching the floor might also help.

Sounds like a plug leak perhaps. Take a tube and have the misses sit on it, then hold one end of tube to our ear the other to suspected leaky areas. You'll hear the leak.

If this response was not linked to this thread, it could have a complete different meaning. ;-)
