Is VoLTE working on AM?

Doesnt seem like it, infact i was playing with a few MTN sims over the weekend and as soon as a pop them in, i see the VoLTE icon on the top right.

Doesnt work with my current sim.

Could my SIM be physically too old to support VoLTE?

I'll be honest, I don't know too much about it. I'd have to ask some really smart people for feedback (luckily we have quite a few of those).

Will post some feedback as soon as I have it :)
 

Oh crap, I got feedback on this and forgot to post it.

So, VoLTe is possible on our network. it depends on the device you are using and if it's supported. If you get that on other SIMS, then it should be. You may need to call 135 and verify that everything is active on the SIM you have. If it's an LTE SIM it should work.

Thanks, I called 135 and they said it wasn't activated. Now it is, thanks.
 
Anyone else having trouble claiming the Free GB this month?

I'm getting this message:
Promotion already applied for this month, you will be able to claim your Free GB again on 2021-02-01.

Our Dev team recently fixed the bug which allowed clients to claim the 1GB free every month without buying anything. They have made changes that requires you to spend R69 on the specific sim before you can claim the data.

That explains it then. I thought the prerequisite was at least a ~R69 spend every month. Didn't know it had to be on the specific SIM.

In that case, the fix works.

Yes Dev amended it due to abuse where clients would have like 20 services claiming the 1GB on each sim and then transferring the data to 1 simcard.

Ouch, okay. I just have the one data SIM which I use as a second SIM for voice and data.
