Air Mobile issues

Hi all,

I recently ported to MTN so I could use the afrihost air mobile.

I'm using an Apple iPhone 7 Plus & I've changed my APN to afrihost (all in lower case), however, when I restart the phone and access the internet, I get the error message "You are not connected to a mobile data network".

I've been in contact with afrihost almost everyday and every time the issue gets raised to their critical care team and MTN, when I do follow up, I get told that the issue is resolved, however, it's not resolved. This has been going on since 02/06/2022.

Is anyone else with an iPhone using afrihost air mobile service had the same issue? If so, how did you resolve the issue?

Hi,

I had the same issue and it took me about 3 months to sort out. The issue on my side was that I still had an old DataForAll (250mb) package on my number. I had to cancel it, waited to the end of the month for if to cancel. After all that, it was fixed. It seems that their system don't like old legacy packages anymore.
