Aircon Gas

I don't know about other cars but like I said Opel's need 50/50 mix and GM antifreeze is best if you want to play it safe. Coolant change interval according to the service manual is 5 years. A Opel regardless of age shouldn't be leaking water and shouldn't need topping up, else there's a problem. Oil leaks also point to a problem, not normal on Opel cars, even the old ones.

Gnome mentioned that some Antifreeze can damage your engine block. Can you provide proof please?

No and don't believe me just do whatever you wish, it's not my car so I honestly can't care.

you should also PLEASE NEVER have your aircon topped up at a aircon regas guy along the road!!

IF the aircon is leaking it needs to be fixed not be filled with more gas...

And if it is topped up, in the name of all that is good don't let the idiot next to the road do it. These guys regularly use butane gas, someone I know died because he was fixing a aircon, some idiot filled with butane that exploded.
