Airmail to the US will be delayed - SA Post Office

Meaning parcels sent 3 months ago are only going to arrive NEXT week?!

Which is quite acceptable. Now imagine if a Sandy hit SA. Imagine what sort of delays, SAPO would forecast...
 
Yeah it will be delayed for weeks before it even arrives at the airport. Took my priority registered letter (EMS) two weeks to travel from Centurion to JHB (< 50km). Posted 12 Oct, arrived 26 Oct at JHB mail centre... Hurray!

I am expecting some stuff from Amazon UK.
They dispatched it same day as the order and estimated that it would be here on 18 October.
I emailed them on 25 October and told them of the non-delivery. I blamed the PO and asked how long I should wait before we declared it lost. I was really happy to wait another 2 weeks before asking for a resend.

They apologised and sent more copies the same day and marked them Priority. Scheduled Date - Today. I will assume that means it hits the PO today so lets see what ahappens.
I bet you both arrive in about a week
