Today when making a call on VM cellphone, I got this voice first telling me that my airtime expires in 14 days???

Whats up? This is not on. As far as I recall one of VM's "promises" was that your airtime will never expire.. (unless of course you don't use your phone for a really long time) ..

I am defintely totally through with VM and their nonsense... Like I promise in my sig, I'm gonna use up my airtime and port away from them for good...

The standard blurb states that airtime will expire if you do not recharge within a period of 90 days. I recharged the first time using my credit card and their system (or one of their systems rather) did not see it. I continuously got the countdown until it all disappeared. Got it re-instated and since then never got it again (the countdown that is), even though I ran nearly 4 months without a recharge!

If you can't use it up then just recharge with a smaller voucher every 3 months. I think the smallest is R35.

Ordinarily I would not have much problem using it up.. but seeing as GPRS has been deactivated on my sim ever since porting it's taking me longer than usual... :(

It's too late for VM now anyway... they didn't try hard enough..

You know I called the "pretend to sort me out centre" just about two days ago again to complain about my GPRS not working... and as usual all they can do is send me the settings.. (I've got so many copies of the VM settings on phone that it won't accept any new ones any more  ) I just can't get it into their dum heads that the problem is not about the settings..

Goodbye VM :p I'm through.
