Not entirely sure if this is the right section, if not, could you please advise me where to post? Or would a mod please move the thread.

Basically my issue.
I just purchased R 110.00 airtime via the FNB online banking site, received my e-mail and sms confirmation of airtime purchased, received my sms saying my account has been topped up with R 110.00 as well as giving me my reference number.
I proceed to go to the Vodacom app to buy a 500 MB data bundle just to get me through to next month, when I can top up with a real bundle, and bam, tells me I have insufficient funds.
Bundle price is R 99
I just topped up with R 110
Check my airtime balance via *100# and it reports R 11.00 instead of R 110.00

Not sure if top up is just going slowly, or I was done in.
Anyone have any advice?

Hey the~faithless

You:

Purchased at 2013-08-30 08:35:03 Data Bundle Prepaid Successful
R11.00 balance remaining as the bundle costs you R99

Problem i picked up is that all of the above was done but the bundle not loaded.

i have since loaded the bundle onto the number OC provided.

VD, Ockie, I seem to recall a rule that you can only use a % of airtime bought this way to purchase a bundle. Please check it out and post here.

No ways. Previously I have loaded R99 from Standard Bank website and then turned that into a data bundle.

The rule I know regarding % airtime bought is how much you can then forward on to another Vodacom user.

Data bundle can be bought using either the monthly airtime from top up contract or with additional airtime bought via retail.channel. monthly airtime from top.up contract cannot be transfered to another user. Unless i.am.mistaken of course.

eDit: what superbirdie said :-)

You are correct with the non transfer to others of allocated Top Up airtime from a Top Up contract, though a previously, many years back, one was able to transfer a certain %. A percentage of extra loaded airtime added on Top Up can be transferred if I recall correctly

Thanks, as I said, I vaguely remembered the rule, pretty sure it hit me once I tried to buy a BIS bundle. But VD/Ockie would know.

Top Up customers are able to transfer 80% of all recharges made above the airtime credit received on the 1st of every month. The minimum amount allowed that may be transferred at one time still remains at R2.
