Alan Panezic is the vice-president of software at RIM
Alan joined Research In Motion (RIM) as a BlackBerry Solutions Architect in May of 2000. In the intervening time he has held several positions in various of parts of RIM's business. Alan is currently Vice President, Software focusing on the BlackBerry® PlayBook™ tablet and BlackBerry Tablet OS.
Prior to joining RIM, Alan spent a number of years at several different consulting organizations all focused on Information Technology.
Alan is now responsible for the Product Management of RIM's Platform Solutions including the BlackBerry® Enterprise Server, BlackBerry Internet Server, Enterprise/Consumer applications, RIM's Development Tools and the BlackBerry® Mobile Voice System (BlackBerry MVS).
Alan holds an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Waterloo and is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario.
