Alan Wake PC has been shelved indefinitely

It’s true – Remedy comments on No PC version rumors.

Remedy Games confirms the rumors that Alan Wake is currently in development for Xbox 360 only and that plans for a PC version are now entirely up to their publisher, Microsoft.

Thank you for your continued interest in Alan Wake. It is accurate that we are currently working exclusively on the Xbox360 version of Alan Wake. PC plans are currently open, and therefore it’s safe to say that at least a simultaneous launch with the Xbox version will not happen at this late stage. Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and would love to see a PC version available to its PC followers, ultimately however this decision lies with our publisher.

they will - even if it gets pirated into oblivion they still make money.

plastic doesn't cost that much....
 
Oi. Ok well, that atleast gives me something to put on my XBox "WANT!" list this year. It was empty up until now...

I find this quite funny though.:) When they originally started with the game they "LOVED" to brag about how this game would be more for multi core CPUs and different aspects of the game would be rendered on different cores blah blah blah...and now they expect the game to be able to "run" on a console...:erm:

It will run but how well is anyone's guess.

To be fair, the 360 does have 3 cores.
 
if the gameplay is anything to go by, it's gonna run just beautifully ..... did you see the lighting alone :eek:
 
When they announced the game it was suppose to be one of the games to show of vista and dx10. Now its not even going to come to pc.
 
Not coming out on Xbox or any console either :o
 
Nope, on track for the Xbox release ...... at least they have gameplay footage now ;)
 
that was very very little actual game ..... the one they showed at E3 this year was a fair section of game being played.
