The Red Ants have evicted families living in abandoned factories in Alexandra, Johannesburg metro police said on Wednesday.

“A court order has been served for people to abandon factories which were occupied illegally,” said JMPD spokesman Wayne Minnaar.

He said Red Ants evicted the families around 11am and certain roads were closed off.

"JMPD closed off First Avenue and Arkright Avenue in Alexandra and traffic was diverted to Second Street as an alternative."

yet another agency managed by the ANC embarking on evictions in an area where the ANC did worse than they'd expected in the general election

The day before the real winter chill hits.

Are the ANC punishing them for voting DA..... Or is it the ANC rewarding them for voting ANC... Or is it satanism?

The ANC said before the election in certain areas that people must vote for the ANC or apartheid will return and they will loose their homes. In several informal settlements where eviction proceedings were on ice this was a theme used by amongst others Gwede.
Go and look at the results and you'll see a DA and EFF tally that wouldn't make the ANC happy.

The cANCer is spreading.

Was to be expected. We aint seen nothing yet.

I don't see what the issue is. Surely when you occupy someone else's property illegally, or build a shack on land that doesn't belong to you you must know that eventually the landowner is going to kick you off his property. You only have yourself to blame when you end up shivering in the winter cold with all your possessions on the ground or teargas in your face.

While I partly agree with you, I do think it's excessively cynical to perform these evictions AS the first winter cold snap arrives.

I blame the EFF in their red overalls. So much for being the champions of the poor....

Impossible to tell when everyone is wearing a clown costume.
Satan In A Clown Suit!! No wonder the ANC has been blaming him for Booing, He looked just like ANC.

Not cynical. Bloody brilliant. Move away or stand around freezing? Relieves the city of having to provide. Frankly, I want potholes repaired, not tents in a field.

it seems there are at least 5 instances of eviction orders involving government entities under the control of the ANC suddenly getting the green light
I am trying to establish if there is something in a similar vain happening in Rustenburg at the moment

so the ANC complains about the DA doing this in the WC, but then turn around and do it in GP??
Can only be the ANC with such doubt standards
