Alfa Romeo GT

when u leave ur house, is there an immediate downhill?
if so, go for it

Year? Model? Milage? Price?

Nice car the GT! Not sure it fits a set of gold clubs but you might be able to fit a body wrapped in a blanket in the backseat if you break the legs.

Maybe slightly dated shaped already. Basically a Fiat on the inside so great car. I've owned a 156 and Spyder and loved both. Niether gave issues. the 156 even had the Selespeed gearbox and was a great car.

My selespeed box needed to be replaced at 40,000 kms.

FWD just ISN'T fun.

Its always been one of the best looking cars on the road.

Its Black,
V6 3.2L,
42,000km,
R179,000,

LOL i Loved the "downhill" comment...

Nice car, sounds awesome.
3.2l in Black... buy it! :)

agreed!!

The GT is one of the most beautiful cars on the road.....and it is one of those cars that will never look dated....especially the rear...

Ooh that's tempting... (and fortunately I have a downhill right by my house except the driveway is uphill... Might also battle with the parking lot at work...

Has it got TAN leather? If so I know the car you speak of...I say go for it...ask for FSH and ask if it has the motorplan till 100 000kms.

GT is a very striking car on the road...the shape is timeless Waaaib...I'm also in the market for a GT 3.2 was actually looking at this one (if its the same car) as the guy would give me 45k trade for my car...but I only get my Bonus in Oct to use as dep...

I'm looking at one with a sunroof...buy it! I"ve got a 3 week old baby girl...we looked at 4 door cars...the Giulietta will be stretching my budget too much so the GT is in affordable range, my mates has GT's and the boot is ... Acceptable for the COUPE that it is...this is a Gran Tourer, so there is room in the back for adults...we had a trip to CT in my 147 and my dad and 110kg cousin sat at the back...The GT is NOT a FIAT on the inside lol...its a 147! Built on the 147 platform everything in the front end is 147 GTA to the tee...the interior is 147 excpet the centre compartment and the seats...which coincidentally can fit in a 147 and was fitted in the Ti model of the 147 lol...re-use I guess.

I say go for it..in the next 2 months I'm looking at 156 GTA or GEE TEE with a numberplate that says...THE STIG MP!!!

Jip, its got the TAN leather, Any Reliability issues with the Alfa GT? and Congrats with the new baby girl.. :-)

The STIG would drive an Alfa...Just check...all the times he drove Alfa's on the Top Gear track you could see his smile through the helmet!!!

Edward...no reliability issues...just make sure of scheduled service intervals pls...check the service history, and where the car was serviced.

On V6's things that COULD go wrong...

MAF - R1200

That's about it...everything is scheduled maintenance...My buddy has a 3.2 but he's freak...races the thing everywhere he goes...replaced clutch 3 times...under 100 000kms...the 4th time the clutch went he took it to an Indie...they found the problem not to be the clutch...mackies at McCarthy Germiston (don't go there) F'd everything else up AROUND the clutch lol...when he took the 3 clutches to the Indi...they were brand spanking new, no issues! Can you believe that? Its the mackies you have to worry about...

But, do take your car to Dutch Auto in Alberton I think...they do INSANE exhaust for GeeTee my word!

GO buy it and have a happy driving life!

I still thinks it's dated badly though. The headlights don't support the rest of the car and the wheels often look too small on the GT.

I'd been keen to know how they drive. I could never quite get used to the loose feeling of the Spyder that can from having no roof. The 156 was fantastic to drive.

Dude are we talking about the same car here? Not the Diesel with the 16's, yes they look SMALL - the 18's on the GT looks proportional but a R1800 Eibach spring will lower it nicely onto the wheels...but the car is already low as they say but who cares? The headlights needs a GTA mod ASAP...so as soon as its bought, take off the bumper, the headlights, and do the GTA Mod...it will spice up the headlights immeeegiately!

Would you suggest the maintenance plan from Alfa?
Its R42,000 for 3 years/60 000Km
