Alien: Earth (TV series)

I was really excited for this. I don't know if I am confused, bored or just tired...but this is ruining Alien for me. Characters are really blech and frankly not sure what is going on. Seems like they going the Star Warz route now where you don't know what you have to watch first. I enjoyed Prometheus etc...this just makes no sense to me and characters is irritating. But I am a 42 year old grumpy old man that enjoy the originals. Sure, Prometheus not part of the originals but still got you interested and led back to the original.

Who the fsck wrote this pile of garbage? Oh gosh! They turned the xenomorph into a complete joke, to quote Ripley "Did IQs just drop sharply while I was away?"

Wow man, episode by episode, the dumber the series gets. Who's the 12 year old that wrote this script, and why are all the actors in this series so butt ugly? Timothy Olyphant looks aweful with that white hair.

Adults acting like kids, the two bros in the alien egg scene, wtf was that, and . . . drum roll please . . . we have the fantastic Xeno-Whisperer 🤣 Oh dear, three decades of the mysterious, perfect organism down the tubes in one episode, NICE!

Top it off, "the genius" mentions, Asimov once said "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic". It was Arthur C Clark who said that, dumb ass! Not much of a genius, are we?

This is nothing yet, Noah Hawley already kinda spoiled where season two, and a possible third, will be heading to. Obviously the writing can change, but it is his ideal. So much Legion in this.

They ****ed it up, and they aren't done yet. Hawley also seems convinced that there will be a second season.

They clearly effe'd it up, the whole time line doesn't make any sense. If Xeno-Whisperer could communicate with the aliens why didn't they just send her to LV-426 instead of Riply?
 
Here we have Dumbass 1 and Dumbass 2. They are part of the scientific research team on board The Maginot but they don't wear masks when operating on a person, consequently Dumbass 1 and Dumbass 2 dies. 🤣

What I admire about it is it's not Alien-centric. It is about what world we will be living in in 100 years. I think the scope of it is so much bigger than an Alien project. Fascinating. Much more about our world, what's going to be happening to it, what's going to be important, the role of greed. It's just exploded some of the themes that have always been part of the Alien series, and I think it's beautifully cast and beautifully done. I can't believe it's television, frankly.

If it is a dead person you don't need to wear a mask. Are they operating or doing an autopsy.

They did a surgical diagnosis and then proceeded to remove parasites. Parasite like leeches that can be assumed alien, and dangerous. For all means and purposes their patient should be considered hostile. He should have been isolated.

It is a schitshow on the Maginot. They have been on a 65-year-long deep space mission, only to lose their captain due to reasons, and become idiots. How Marrow couldn't solve what was going on, until synth-like weirdo gave him a clue is telling. Perhaps it is due to cryosleep, but that wouldn't explain the low IQ on Earth. Yes, low-IQ is lore accurate.


Though, technically, the Nostromo's mission started the same year as the events we viewed in Alien: Earth. But they took two years to encounter the Xenomorph on an abandoned alien vessel. Now, I doubt that the Maginot visited this same vessel otherwise Marrow would have known about the Engineers. So, eh, I can go on. It is a plot black hole. LV-426 is known since 2039, but Hadley's Hope was only established at a much later date. This still leaves LV-223... but then we circle back to David.

Ooh look at you . . . are you asking a question or making a statement? I can't tell

Dallas and Ash both wearing masks because as you may not know when dealing with a possible unknown species, its what one would do. This minor detail is the difference between good writing and awful crap like this.

Now, if Dumbass 1 and 2 followed protocol, maybe they would still be alive.
