MSN did not butcher anything; it was the original title. It is the permalink as can be seen in the URL which isn't changed under normal conditions due to indexing reasons amongst other reasons like linking, schemas, etc. Feed, source was pulled. MSN is a news aggregation service.

It happens. I am only surprised that they didn't query an update request, or they did, but haven't been processed yet.

People will have a laugh and move on.

Yes, people shouldn't post MSN links, unless the original content is not available due to reasons.

Ofcourse the million woman in Transkei are under extremist Sharia law and are not to leave their homes, me nevermind drive. That's crazy! Woman are banned from driving in Transkei.

In your worldview woman should be accompanied by a male relative everywhere they go, and are prohibited from driving alone.

100%, because not doing so would be haraam, brother.

On a serious note, not too long ago my aunt worked for a Bidvest subsidiary who required her to do repping through rural EC, including travelling through the Transkei. You try telling them how dangerous that is - all they care about was what her sales figures looked like.

She had a botched hijacking attempt near Umtata choosing to put foot on the accelerator irrespective of the gun drawn at her. She never returned there again and was dismissed a few months later for "poor performance". Her life was just not worth the risk.

As an aside, I work for one of those "evil big corporates", but holy heck did that company treat their employees like garbage. Made me thankful for my company.

2) they checked her bank account and she was broke and in massive debt
3) no one offered to pay the ransom and said keep her please
4) she actually hijacked the Fortuner and was a gang leader
5) she offered to cook food for the hijackers and it was so bad they said never again

hmmmmm... the cops have many choices to investigate

This is so scum. You can blame 'big corporate' but at the end of the day, it's selfish and greedy people in management that are at fault here, and they should be called out for it. Honestly this is completely unacceptable and I don't get worked up easily but this really makes me so angry.

My wifes company is the complete opposite. They send their staff all over the world, and they pay for accomodation in nice hotels and the work is in nice areas, but even then if it's an islamic country they don't send female staff, and they're extremely considerate of their staff's needs and will happy turn down business if there's even the slightest chance they're putting staff at risk.

I've heard this too. Recently had a spate of theft and vandalism on my in-laws farm, and they traced the syndicate back to East London. It's become so bad over the last year, their insurance has stopped paying out.

They had 4 murders on their land two years ago, 3 of which were assasinations, the other was a body that was dumped. Didn't even make the news.

They're in the process of selling up and moving into the Free State, and these are 4th generation EC farmers. It's tragic.

Here, it went all the way to the top I reckon. She had a contact in HR and he advised her to try and find another job as soon as she can as there is a big "cleanup".

It really sounded as though they didn't want to bother with retrenchment processes.

Anyway, back OT, Eastern Cape is awful and our government does not care about crime, as demonstrated over the past few decades.
