As the title reads. I am looking for an All-In-One PC for my parents. Does anyone know of any specials on now or where I can look (don't mind ordering online either)? It needs to be at least a 20" (bigger will be better) screen with touch screen and preferably i3 or i5 processor with dedicated graphics.

The PC will mainly be used for photos, internet, movie watching and some gaming (my mum enjoys playing the Sims ect which is why I will need a dedicated graphics card ect).

Not too sure on price budget yet but I think they are looking at spending around R8k (not even sure if that will be enough as I am not that clued up on the retail pricing on the All-In-One PC)

Please let me know.

Thanks

You can get a fairly decent custom built PC from Matrix for R8K.
Should be more than enough for your folks.
But the Touch Screen is going to throw that price out of kilter a bit.
Why do you want a touch screen for them?
Why not just a regular screen with a nice mouse and keyboard.
If you really want touch, then get them an iPad or a Galaxy Tab.

If you are gonna get a brand name unit from Incredible Connection or Game, then it will be slightly lower in specs than what you would get from a custom built PC.

Thanks for the reply.

Its not that I want the touch screen, they want it, they enjoy it I think??? They both already have a galaxy tab. I have told them it will cost a bit more with the touch screen, but they told me they saw one in the Macro pamphlet that was going for R7k I think, but not too sure about the specs tho. If not the touch screen, then maybe a PC with a 24 - 27inch screen maybe. The specs of the PC don't have to be amazing (they won't want to play Battle Field ect, just basic games like Sims ect), but just something that will be fast and nice to use ect.

Esquire often has good deals (<R5000) on the Lenovo AIO PC. Try to call them to get more details. Not sure whether this has a touch screen though.

Why do you/they want a touch screen? You DON'T want a resistive touch screen (the type that most POS/current all-in-ones) use, they use single points are helluva laggy. The newer Lenovo IdeaCentre all-in-ones (not sure if they're out yet) are the only ones that come with capacitive screens AFAIK. Check the web for reviews about the touch screen before deciding on one.
