The difference between Ping time and Latency is quite significant. So if your "engineers" can't distinguish the two, I MIGHT just pay you later than agreed to SHOW you with *real money* what the difference is. (ie, for the lame/stupid people out there: I tell you I'll pay you today, but I transfer the money next week)

So even with your WTFast utility, ping time to WoW is pretty much what it is without the utility... and latency is sitting at 1-3 seconds... SECONDS.

WTF... Fast? NO

(I also have noticed several YouTube videos end abruptly and display 100% buffer... hell... I HAVE TO ****ING BUFFER YOUTUBE on my 4mbps! I'm pretty sure the damn thing is local by now right? With Google peering with you guys? And I'm talking shows that are on the top 10 most viewed on YT, not some 2 view mofo's with no subscribers...)

Anyway

It's been like this for several weeks now. Fix yo ****

I get ~220ms latencies on a 384 line. :p

Just change ISP's and stop nerd raging. :)

In a world with no port shaping ping time and latency should be very similar. If you aren't using the right type of account you have nobody to blame but yourself.

There is a common issue with youtube videos where they frequently break after the yellow section in the loading bar (the advertisement). Don't rant at the ISPs if its not their fault.

Of course it is.

awww nerd rage. so sexy.

thought it was going to be an interesting read, but the minute there was an insult thrown (lame/stupid people comment), lost all care to read anymore.

I'm very well aware about the advertising breaking the video. As I said (I think you might have problem comprehending with what you read), is that the video *ends abruptly* and jumps to a 100% loaded/buffered. When the advertising breaks, it doesn't indicate a buffer anymore, nor can you pause/play the video.

As for your perfect world. 220ms (as stated) was just about what I got up and till recently (using WTFast provided by MWEB, and even sometimes without WTFast).

However, 220ms is PING TIME. It does *not* indicate the actual *latency* (aka, "lag" to you n00bs). Meaning, if I perform an action, it is actually DELAYED even though my PING says it's at 220ms.

But whatever, **** you guys. I'm going home.

Yup pretty much hey. But meh. Their advice is to STFU for a service I pay for and just move to something else? They probably never tried canceling with MWEB before... nor tried to sign up to a new place requiring RICA constantly...

You must think you are the ****...I have news for you...your just another nerd...and there are many of them.

Regardless.

Ping is not latency, it is a tool to measure round-trip latency.

Now give me a cookie!
