B Mary Cate Dave
C Jack Dave Bob

How can I have excel give me all the subjects as well as classes that Dave teaches ie. Math(A), Biology(C) and Science(B)

Use the lookup function:

=LOOKUP("Dave",B22,$A$2:$A$4)

Assuming your table is in the top most corner of the workbook, and go from there
