All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

My Deye is chugging along like a real champ! Apart from the great HA integration, I also managed to get remote control activated for Solarman Business.

Does anyone happen to know what the latest firmware version is?
I just had a firmware update done on my 8kW Deye. Current versions are as follows. I have no idea what's changed.

Protocol version: V0.2.0.1
HMI:VC.3.5.8
MAIN_1:V6.0.1.4
MAIN_2:V0.7.1.7

From the Sunsynk forum:

"We are aware if the issue on the latest release and are working hard on the resolution.
As a temporary fix, you can uninstall and reinstall the app. This will solve the problem until we release another update in the coming days."

Is there a way to see battery cycle count om the Deye? Either directly on the Deye or via Solarman.

I have a cable for the Pylontechs that I can plugin to access the info from a laptop, but being able to see the info via the inverter would be easier.

Not that i know of - hence the use case for RIOT / Solar Assistant to read more battery stats

I am using the sunsynk app with the new sunsynk wifi dongle. Today the app is not showing the power flow correctly. it has been stuck like this all morning. is anyone else having similar issues today?

Have noticed a strange issue now that production is up. When my batteries reach 100% my production matches my load which is as expected, typically when this happens my pool pump turns on and a few other things. The production doesnt seem to pick up again and it is specifically 1 array remains quite low. It does eventually pick up but reckon it take a good hour or so (i think) havent really montired it well enough. Any reason for this.

O fok. Ok maybe try the contact I sent you.

I'm busy getting quotes for a Sunsynk system, 8kW inverter and the 10kWh battery (and will intially have 10 x 540w panels).

Is this a good route to go? Anyone running this setup, are you happy with it? Anything you would have changed?

That's in line with the average household. Most here are running something similar. If you need more batteries/panels then you can phase them in later...

Yep. Problem is getting stock of the Sunsynk batteries at the moment, I'm waiting for them to get back to me on when the next lot is coming in.

You know anything about panels? Just curious if there is much difference between brands, specifically the JA Solar vs Canadian Solar? Both 540W panels.

Both tier one, with good warranties, you will not be disappointed. You might want to take a look at the specs of both to determine which is optimal for the 8K Sunsynk, considering the current limitations.

You will want to be able to parallel two series strings for the bigger MPPT controller, so two panels' ISC should be as close as possible to 20A but not exceed 21A or so, otherwise it will be clipped.
