I saw Deye support say 100 degrees C is still acceptable for the 5kw. I'd assume 8kw is the same.

60 may be hot for you to touch but for a fet its still idling along ,the mosfets generate the most heat, 180 is still acceptable for most of them ,but as the temp goes up the capacity goes down so they clamp to keep heat lower .but the big question is allways can the circuit board handle the heat without getting dry joints and cracks .Fets dont have a rated lifespan at temp ,either they work ot they dont ,its hard work making 12 v/dc into a pure sine wave to be stepped up ,work equals heat ,but lower temps also dont mean much as certain components operate better at certain temps .What is a safe operating temperature for Deye inverters? I see mine is peaking close to 60 degrees on hot days.

My SunSynk 16KW sits consistantly between 57.5 and 59.5 and it has a nice big fan in it:So I will be adding an additional 8 505W panels (East) to my current system (current 8 panels are north facing). I'm using a new installer. They quoted R8K installation. That is R1k per panel. My current system has a PV Combiner Box 2 in- 2 out. Are they going to use this combiner box or should they use a separate one?
I will be asking them tomorrow though.

You'll need to unscrew the dongle and pull it from the plug, wait a minute and reattach it and screw back into place. Sadly their dongles don't have a reboot button.How does one go about without restarting the inverter if there was a break in wifi connection with the iplogger for a Deye 16kW inverter, and the inverter now only shows up as offline on the solarman app. Wifi settings didnt change - just had to update the router firmware. Wifi and everything else connected on the network is working normally. The first green light of the iplogger is not green - the inverter is working like a champ. there was just a break in internet connection for 5 minutes. Will this happen again every time connection is lost for a short while?

What you are saying sounds like CT is wrong way, but need screenshots of what you are seeing to confirm.My CT is showing a negative value when pulling from grid and a positive when exporting, as far as I can understand

Thanks so we do not have non-essentials, currently we are two places on one property with one meter and we use the export option to feed excess solar to the other house.AFAIK you don't need the ct based on this image you uploaded.
It looks like you have everything behind the inverter, so the ct isn't needed as it doesn't need to know how much power to supply to non-essentials ahead of the inverter.
It is always good to have it connected correctly though.
If you do have non-essentials, then your settings and setup are incorrect.
If you are exporting to the Grid, then you do need the ct correctly installed.
If you are just powering stuff connected to the inverter, then you should be fine.
