All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

Current situation: Running the geyser at home and waiting for the Smart Life App to tell me the watts draw has dropped from 3300w to 3w, then I will turn on the pool pump, also remotely.

It is not lost on me that the uptime of my smart switches/breakers is better than SunSynk's backend.

I might have missed it but any reason you’re not using HomeAssistant to automate these tasks for you?

FFS man, down again, wife smashing the oven, 2 days of rain coming up with hardly any chance of PV. I just had to reverse her car out of the garage so I could reach the SunSynk and change my System Mode because this darn App is offline again!

The solution is clear get rid of the wife
Seriously though
You have the oven on the main load, not AUX or nonessential?

All i can say to all of you is that solar assistant never skips a beat. Easy to set up and has way better dashboards. I run it on a tablet in my lounge and ZERO frustration

I've only had my system since July 2023, so can't say for sure. I have 12 x 550w Longi panels = 6.6kwp production. In summer (from Dec to Mar) I was regularly hitting 5.7kw to 6kw production around mid-day. I am now seeing peak production of only around 4.8 to 5.3kw. Clear bright skies. Washed my panels twice in the last 3 weeks. Didn't make much of a difference either.

I didn't have any firmware updates installed, as far as I know, unless it happened without my knowledge.

It's been bothering me enough that I washed my panels twice in the last 3 weeks. I would have asssumed that now in Autumn with cooler weather, my peak production would have been hgiher, or at least the same as summer production. Something isn't right.

I'm suspecting that the autumn skies are just hazier with less sunlight coming through. And maybe the angle of the sun is now different. All my panels are NNE facing.
Thanks. Would be great to track and get an update as you enter July and have some YoY data to compare.

If all technical aspects under my/our/the setup's control can be ruled out and weather / hazy skies or whatever mother nature's doing is responsible, then I'm happy to accept and leave it there, but I'm not sure.

My average peak production and average total daily production since March has been consistently lower than last year. March being the first YoY month I have to compare.

And this despite more panel washing and less shading this year than last.

So much for global warming and the sun's rays being "brighter/sharper" !!?? Pffft...

Very little sun this weekend. So count out 3 days at least. Good luck.

Mine is as well - surprisingly, it's not the worst culprit from a draw perspective - the geyser is worse.

I do manage my loads using a combination of HA automations and smart plugs though to prevent overloads.

At least my 3rd Hubble is back after a 7 week warranty repair. Hubble's turn around was pretty good. The original distributor who let the battery sit in a PE courier depot for 3 weeks because they didn't want to pay courier to get it back to EL, not so good.

I feel for the couriers. Those things are heavy !! I remember the poor folks installing my 'small' ones. :p

Also lost all my data for day...
What happens if I untick the time sync button?

I don't use the dongle, using an ESP32 to control/monitor the inverter. Can I unplug their useless dongle?
I've done this a while back, since twice before it synced to the wrong time and data was all messed up.
Funny enough, I found the timer to be about 10mins behind when I checked recently, don't know how that happened as the inverter has never been down. So just adjusted it again.
I do still use the sunsynk dongle.

Not sure if the Sunsynk server being down could've affected my system settings, but my batteries did not charge from the grid as expected. I randomly checked at times and it would be charging for a bit and then stop.

Will monitor it more closely today.

WTAF is going on with the App. My App data has not clicked over to 1 June - still stuck in May month. Checked my folks and inlaws and same story there.
