Anybody else had this issue with their deye ? Where the voltage fluctuates ?!I didnt check the logger but there is some voltage fluctuation, its triggering my UPS and the fan is running slow then fast abruptly. seeing this for the first time

What issues have you encountered?Anyone able to refer someone to help setup SOLARMAN for me please.
Silly question, but what does this give in comparison with Solarman integrated into HASS?From what I have read, yes, the SunSynk dongle stays in place and you use the RS485 port to connect the RPi 3. I am looking at the PylonTech cable as well, I think @AchmatK uses it to monitor his PylonTech batteries in addition to his SunSynk inverter...
Silly question, but what does this give in comparison with Solarman integrated into HASS?
FWIW I have 145 datapoints that it pulls from the Wifi dongle through, and there are some battery stats available too.
YesAre you talking about Solar Assistant via the RS485 on the inverter or the PylonTech batteries connected via RS232 on one of the batteries?
As an example you get 81 topics for the inverter + 15 other general topics. The data is also real-time (2 seconds)Yes
Just want to get a feel for what Solar Assistant with the RS485 offers vs. a roll-your-own solution of Solarman plugin in HASS. Also I am not sure what stats you can grab from the battery as I see quite a few stats from the logger itself. But then again maybe what I am seeing is very watered down.
aaah the never ending night shift, aka - our second jobs - goodluckCool, thanks
I will post up the entries that I have access to with Solarman later - gotta get the little one through the bath and into bed quick.
its amazing, the only thing it really lacks is notifications, but the rest of it is amazingYep, Solar Assistant is looking more and more attractive, despite not having an income at the moment.

Hi there, Takealot has these generators on special too, but I'm struggling to find an ATS compatible with it. Could you post a pic of the pinout of the ATS plug please. I really need a generator to power the 2 parallel Sunsync inverters connected to the batteriesIf anyone is off grid or just looking for a generator, I bought one of these.

Loncin 8kW Petrol Generator with Electric Start and Wheels
The Loncin 8kW Petrol Generator delivers reliable power with electric start, wheels for easy mobility, and ATS Ready auto choke for effortless starting, ideal for demanding tasks.shop.crystalcom.co.za
Also available at Makro. (But because of bad reviews and lack of details I bought it from Crystal)
Assume it's the same thing.
Well impressed with it but it is still early days though.
The man reason I'm posting it is the fact that it has it's own autostart box.
It is advertised as "ATS ready" so I thought I would have to make my own (Arduino or ESP ) on, choke, start, sense start etc. box.
I asked them for a pinout of the ATS plug but the importers didn't have it and said they would email Loncin for it , but I haven't heard anything since.
So I have been using it a bit and my inverters (Deye parallel 5kw's) are happy, managing to charge the battery pack at 20A (220v , 5kw) easily.
I did have to tie neutral to earth at it's plug though.
So anyway I took the covers off this afternoon to see where the ATS plug was connected to and discovered a box tucked away behind the face plate.
This way and that there is a single wire that when connected to a positive (12v) begins a start cycle (choke, starter, starter off, choke off etc.) and the generator runs.
Disconnect that wire and then the generator shuts down.
So I'm well pleased, the inverters can control the generator directly and it makes it a real bargain at that price.
If anyone wants the pinout of the ATS plug I can post it tomorrow.
I get you. I think Solarman is limited to what MODBUS properties are exposed via the wifi dongle which it then hooks into.Others may know more than me but from what I understand Solarman is merely the HA integration of the SunSynk data logger? So, in theory you should be able to get all that the SunSynk data logger supplies, I am not sure in practice though. As for the battery integration, I can only see 'pack' level data via the SunSynk data logger or on the inverter itself, whereas with Solar Assistant connected to the batteries you get more granular data per battery pack, maybe even down to cell level.
My main reason for looking at Solar Assistant is due to SunSynk's seemingly never ending issues with updating the app, losing data, etc. which can be at the least frustrating and at the most cause massive issues if your are monitoring, adjusting, etc. settings based on loads, PV conditions, grid supply or the lack thereof, etc.

AFAIK these all link back to modbus registers that your typical RS485 cable could see, but I think the visibility into the battery is pretty limited to just state, SOC and voltage.
