I hope the Indian guy recovers and I hope he sues the living ***** out of that guy who nearly killed him. If he can't sue him, it wouldn't be a bad move to get some revenge.

Careful of disguising speculation with absolute words like "sure". There are not many things in this world that you can be sure about, even the things that you are present for, and I am guessing that you were not physically present for this strangling.
By stating that you are sure this was racially motivated, you are exercising the same amount of prejudiced stereotyping that you are critisizing on this forum. Yes there is a chance that this was racially motivated but it is certainly not for sure. Couldn't it simply be that there is another side to this story, maybe the indian guy touched the mascot in a different place to everyone else. Maybe he crossed the joke boundary of head slaps and went into the realm of indecent assault by touching his crotch, kicking his crotch etc...

There are so many unknowns there. Stating that every single hurtful act that happens in this world between people of different races is racially motivated is just prejudiced, and is the kind of thinking that discourages inter racial communication, honesty, interaction, debate, sharing, etc... Because as soon as you step a foot wrong, you're called a racist. So might as well stick to socializing with your own race, because then you are just an ***hole if you step wrong.

The indian guy definitely has a case of assault against the guy, depending on what the action was that prompted the mascots extreme reaction. Either way someone is in *** for hurting someone else. Why does 'daddy' have to bring the race card along to the fight? Because then he can get more money out of the deal when the sentencing is passed.

Hmm? Blocked artery? Yeah I knew a guy who almost died because of that too, from an epic dead leg administered by his friend.
Perhaps he should have pressed charges, clearly the guy was trying to kill him slowly by intentionally blocking his artery.
