I have altbinz for my NBzs, but is their any other NZB downloaded thats good?

I have a problem and it is really rashing me.
Every time i start downloading on altbinz my computer lags so much, to the extent that my mouse barely moves.

Very weird. Whats the CPU usage? Post PC specs too with OS info.

I'm running altbinz in a Virtualbox VM (Because I can). You could try that too, but that might be a very quick & nasty way to insulate the lag from the rest of your work.

what anti-virus are you using? i have avast and it does scan my incoming news though there is no lag what so ever, maybe that could be eating yr cpu..

I use sabnzbd and it works like a charm. What I like the most about it is that all I have to do is put the nzb file (or even a zipped nzb file) into a certain folder of my choice and it does all the rest, downloads... unpacks... and even fixes corrupt files if necessary.

most people use SAIX... I personally use Astraweb
