Hi All

I know there are posts about this but i want something that works 100%.

I am willing to pay for a LIVE Streaming Service for all TV, Movies & Sports from some US or UK Provider.

Does anyone have any idea what is good to use?

Please let me know.

Thanks
BB

Doesn't exist.

If you are into sports there is pretty much nothing that beats SS. Most networks world wide do not even show the amount of sport dstv does.

For everything else, .torrent or .nzb. You can do what some people suggest and download sport after the game.

It is terrible having to ensure you don't see or hear the result before your download finishes.

:wtf:

He said DSTV shows more sports than most, not that it shows the most sports

Ah, my mistake. :D
To be fair though, he also said "If you are into sports there is pretty much nothing that beats SS"

In my mind DSTV does not even come close to DirecTV, or even UK's Sky for that matter....not in sport, not anything
I mean, they have more "Dish alignment" test channels, than what Dstv Premium has channels

@keeper ... and you've used this DirecTV here in SA?

Nope but I have the closest possible system to it as you could possible get... :D
Fully functional EPG, PVR pause/rw/ff functions, info bar, and everything is On Demand.

The video is a little old, my current setup has over 100 channels currently.

I'll post the "Ultimate TV Experience thread 2" soon, stay tuned ;)

there are 2 ways to go about it.

The one is to stream it all like bladebob suggested - I'm not aware of DirecTV streaming but if you have uncapped and can bypass proxies, you can access a shlaatload of channels from the UK.
I'll try to get a link for you.

The other is to have a NAS with lots of media, and use PseudoTV to create channels like HBO, Showtime, Fox and the like.... Yes I have PlayboyTV!

AS to the OP's question, I found this:

"Up to 240 UK TV Channels & 80 Radio Stations"
starts @ 14.99 GBP per month (+- R180,00) but you will need ADSL, most likely uncapped. (Although not a bad idea getting ADSL + this vs DStv's prices)

It seems you can test their service with a Free Trial, maybe have a look?

Channel List can be found here:

Hi Keeper

Thanks for all this info. I am going to look at all of this.

Thanks

Not to be ungrateful but those UK channels suck!!!!!! no nice disney for the kiddies sigh!
and the wife will want her cooking channels as well need something similar to dstv in the content
department but that doesn't cost me close to 1K a month!!!

@keeper let us know when u have your thread up would love to have a system like yours
