My little brother has decided he wants to start mining cryptos and he found the rig below. I can't really give him much advice as I don't know much about the technology required to mine coins.

https://mineshop.eu/ethereum-miner/ethereum-miner-eth-detail

These people are based in Ireland, but I can't tell if they're legit or not, because their reviews swing both ways.

Any miners here? Is the above rig worth it or a waste of money? Have you ever bought from them or know anyone that's bought from them? Thanks

No and the profits are really out of date.

I would go min 6x 1060 or 6x rx570s.

The two schools of thought are:
1) You could build a rig, mine for a while, if it doesn't work out you can *generally* make your money back by selling off the parts.
2) Take the same money you would have spent on a rig and buy some BTC or alts. They way things are rocketing it may be the better play (or not, who knows with the crypto market?).

Either way if you're getting into crypto then your mindset should be that whatever money you are putting into it you should be willing to write off. No regulation, no guarantees, high risk etc.
