Judgement in the VANS self-provision matter (with all sorts of other goodies thrown in) will be delivered in court 4E of the Pretoria High Court at 09h45 tomorrow morning (Friday 29 August 2008)

Sept 2004: our dear minister makes a policy announcement. Included in her speech- VANS can self-provide infrastructure from Feb 2005

Feb 2005: day before the policies and regulations come into effect, dear minister decides to issue a 'clarification' of her Sept '04 announcement. She says she didn't mean to imply that VANS can self provide

2008 (today): Court says minister cannot undo what she said, basically

will need to have a look at the judgement to see what kind of room to manoeuvre there is
personally i doubt that there will be an appeal
 
I vote we cute off her hands if she tries to appeal... then she won't be able to eat any donuts and will just give up and go away...
