I've been quietly watching on the discord from a distance and after some careful thought I honestly don't get how it's different... right now.

In the whitepaper, if you read the use cases, both imply that the partner is to setup their own masternode to earn tokens which they can then distribute... fair enough but here is why I don't think it's different.

In my case, being an employer and wanting to reward my employees, I could setup any master node currently available and distribute that token as an incentive reward.

What I do agree on is most reward systems don't actually give you cash back but instead give you credit with them which is not really a reward for buying but more a forceful incentive to keep coming back in order to redeem them.

For this to succeed, it's not really about the platform at all since any master node can be used to serve the same purpose individually, but more integration into e-commerce systems and point of sales systems to automatically xfer tokens after a purchase. Personally I'd scrap the whole "reward the employee" thing as there is too much admin and financial consideration on the employers side to even want to do this i.e. teaching employees how to use wallet, where to trade etc etc.

The other drawback in the case of a retailer, is what happens when their sales skyrocket causing the rewards to exceed what they are capable of producing.

I like the idea but I think it's way too young to throw 0.5BTC at it, and that's only for the first 50 nodes. Price increments to 0.6 and 0.7btc.

Don't think so.
Compare BTC & ETH and see which gets you further when buying VEN.
Assuming the price of VEN goes up you'll make back the BTC/ETH cost you incur very quickly.
 
EOS is down - moon kids don't listen, that level of centralization is beyond comprehension.

Add to that:
"The delegate rewards in EOS are now so high (5% annual inflation, about $400m per year), the competition on who gets to run nodes has essentially become yet another frontier of US-China geopolitical economic warfare."

Eos is internet 4.0. ....I am recently white pilled on it and bought a few hundred. I've always been sceptical of btc as a viable currency replacement because who parts with a deflationary currency for a cup of coffee ? Incredible opportunities however with eos and dapps and a steal at 11 dollars still.

Eos is centralized, eth can adapt.

But yes I myself also like eos I think airdrops will be the catalyst for the bull run.

That and ERC721, which will see ETHs price reach that of btc in the coming years.

Yeah, Eos is just in the right place at the right time. The project also has 5 billion dollars behind it. It would be silly to bet against it reaching 100 bucks conservatively.

I am black pilled on ether though. Anything I need to be up to speed on ?
 
Thoughts on ETC? I know coinbase is adding them (This is probably already priced in - short term)

Still holding. I need to actually go back and check how much it initially cost me. It was worth about $0.08 just after the ICO.

Was just looking at this today considering a trade. Yikes - a bit of waiting to get back to $6...markets been brutal the last few months with so many things just falling right back to their starting prices. Hopefully markets reverse soon and price starts making its way up.
