Alternative Cryptocurrencies (General Discussion & Trading)

Just dipped into IOTA after it flatlined. Let's see where it goes. At the end of the week...

Think I'm gonna hold the CVC. Was tempted earlier with more NEO but I'm not sure anymore.

IOTA is a long hold. It's very interesting.

Then CVC I also hodl.

I genuinely like it, I need to learn Javascript (I don't like the language, it i don't know i struggle with it), but when I understand it then I want to build it into PW so users can register using CVC and a few other sites like coindata as well.

It will be super awesome. I already store the images on coindata.co.za on SIA I want to build Redd coins thing in there too it's very fun all these projects, fascinating so much to learn still.

Anyone else using this drop to buy Litecoin? Currently at $66. Thoughts on where it'll be in a few months time?

Jumping on LTC today or tomorrow, but I also want more NEO, I've got zero LTC at the moment so I need to get in there, not only for holding but to buy more miners when they get released, I hope it will be over $100 by December.

I'm also buying LTC at this price. Just a little bit ill sell it again so I can buy more civic and btc

  • Folks claim its network is faster than BTC and that alone makes it a good buy
  • It appears to be one of the more steady coins that don't rapidly go up or down on a weekly basis
  • It is coined the silver standard in respects to BTC and that somehow its value slowly rises and falls with that of BTC (Tethered to BTC value, like silver is to gold in the commodities market

The lead developer only just recently stepped forward to work full time on LTC once again.

Their team consists of 3 developers, which is a very heavy workload for 3 people plus maybe some temporary contractors.

Litecoin (https://coindata.co.za/coin.php?id=litecoin) is still 21% down for the past 7 days so you have a good chance of being up 20% if you buy some right now as it will bounce back when BTC bounces back.

I'm a bit torn right now between LTC or jumping onto WAVES.
CIVIC has done well overnight :). Thinking of getting more while it's still <$1.

I've had a look at waves before https://wavesplatform.com/index.html from what I understand they are basically doing what ethereum does with offering smart contracts and a platform other ICOs(assets) can be build on top off right?

Civic is life.
These <$1/coins are far more interesting than bitcoin, ethereum etc. Buy bitcoin now and even if it sees $10k in 2 years you've made less ROI than a $0.6 buy selling at $3. Obviously the lack of stability and predictability at the low end is huge factor but there's a much greater opportunity to profit. The only reason to buy BTC/ETH etc. right now is if you're going to invest a lot of money on it which, if it doubles or sees a 70% increase will be worth it. But if you're trading with a few thousand rand to test the market and learn your way around, rather try to (potentially) x5 a low investment amount on a cheaper coin than sit on BTC/ETC etc. and only (potentially) double it.

Curious to know what your thoughts are.

Alt coin (In my mind anything except Bitcoin) is high risk. If bitcoin tanks this scene/space/industry tanks. So you use alt coins to up your bitcoin holding.

Bitcoin is the end game. I tell everyone: Bitcoin can change.

Then I repeat it. I keep repeating until the light bulb clicks.

Ethereum has smart contracts ahh cool what is stoping Bitcoin from having it and then will you still buy ethereum?

There is high risk in the alt coins which means massive opertunity to make a large return example civic I can see civic reach $20 with ease, if that happens then I dump that into big daddy bitcoin and will move to the isle of man becuase I will fear for my life.

IOTA on special again, another 15% off :D
