Alternative Cryptocurrencies (General Discussion & Trading)

Nope, it's down further $0.004 / 119 SAT.
Does this project have the legs to pull itself up? I see their social media accounts are active, they've got decent volume, active development...strange that it's hit bottom like this.

Too many coins in the field. I'm guessing mining yields many sia?

At worst you lose a few SAT + fees if you sell and get your money back (not sure what price you originally bought at?). The supply just looks way too high for those to gain value unless the market has a lucky pump. I see no mention of them reducing the amount of coins in circulation either. I've been looking at it today and eh - as attractive as potential gains looks my money will do better work elsewhere. If it's still this price end of the week I might put a little bit in and hold thumbs.

Yea there a lot of coins in circulation, but overall the crypto space is only worth what 150ish billion dollars its child's play once we hit 2 - 6 trillion dollars then there's probably enough room to have Sia at 20 odd billion assuming no other better currency comes in swooping all the market cap.

Rambling, basically saying sia should have room as the crypto space grows despite its high coin count.

Basically you have no idea and it's a complete gamble.

IOP (Internet of People): 24hr low of $1.66, high of $5.63, now stable at $3.80. Damn.

Everyone else also mostly red this morning? Seems everything dropped down around the same time early this morning. Bitcoin.

Only Neo and Amp still green in my portfolio !!!

BTC is a bit bearish , I'm hesitant to buy at the moment.... thinking it could still have a large drop.

I'd be interested to know what NEO does in the coming months. Please update if it skyrockets or something :).

Markets seem very uncertain about what to do today.
Bitcoin takes a dip and everything else behaves irrationally.
There's that kneejerk reaction to want to pull out before it plummets further but upon closer inspection things have kinda stabilized. Bitcoin might drop today or tomorrow, I'm just sitting out till the weekend.

Regarding China, regulation & NEO:

News and a picture have surfaced of Da Hongfei of NEO at a conference held by the Chinese Government on Blockchain technology.

The source of this news is from the Chinese news websites 8btc.com and c114.net which are both written in Chinese.

A friendly user on Reddit translated some key points:

The name of the event translates to "2017 Trustworthy Blockchain convention". Trustworthy seems to be a recurring theme.

The convention signifies the start of the Trustworthy Blockchain Alliance, where their goal is to promote real life application of blockchain, development and promote self-regulation.

Reiterating how blockchain must be incorporated into the future economy and how to go from abstract ideas to concrete applications.

A detailed plan from China was presented on how to standardise a trustworthy blockchain
Notable people present include representatives from Hyperledger, Microsoft Asia, Da and others.

It seems like China is moving quicker than we thought in standardizing and regulating the blockchain market. Does this mean NEO is on the right path for the Chinese government? I think so! NEO being part of this conference is a good thing, in any case!

Now that I have 85 ATS tokens, how can I actually access them? The link provided in the email only points to a blank site with a title saying UpViral

Ugh.
The bottom fell out one of my coins and I saw too late.
