Alternative Cryptocurrencies (General Discussion & Trading)

That's a fcking risky move.

I can afford to lose what I put in. That's the difference here ie a strangers comment on the internet might come from a different risk appetite and background.
Nah Im just kidding.

electroneum

Yeah I know - another ICO :erm:.
Looks kinda interesting though: http://electroneum.com/
Interview: http://www.financemagnates.com/thought-leadership/industry-poised-welcome-newest-cryptocurrency-electroneum/

Electroneum has been designed and built to give ordinary, non-technical users a chance to obtain and enjoy a cryptocurrency. They have developed an iOS and Android app that not only contains easy wallet functions, but also allows a mining experience to let anybody get "into" cryptocurrency within minutes of downloading a free app. Their blockchain has been specifically chosen and modified to limit the ability of ASIC and GPU miners, allowing the 2 billion + smartphone users to run the blockchain.

Tokens go on sale tonight.

Heard anything about it?

What are the options for shapeshifting wallets these days?
And for converting LTC to ZAR? Any good options?

Convert to btc first? Not too sure what you're asking. You have LTC in a wallet?

Yep. LTC in a wallet.
Converting costs money and I was wondering who offers LTC->Fiat. I know most if not all will likely do USD which means conversion + fees anyway so 6 / half dozen and all that.

I decided to buy back into NEO. I think once this storm has settled it may climb back to around $30. Hoping...

Is there anything special about that Ardor token?
Just decided to try something that sounded interesting and was in a dip. This is what got me:

The sales pitch:
Offering Blockchain as a Service - Ardor will open blockchain development to organizations and individuals across the world. The high barriers to getting started with blockchain are about to vanish.
And from the ARDOR site:
Ardor is a blockchain-as-a-service platform that will allow people to utilize the blockchain technology of Nxt through the use of child chains. Since all processing will be done on the Ardor main chain, child chain creators won’t need to worry about common issues when creating a blockchain as well as securing it with enough nodes.
If blockchain is to be useful technology, it makes sense to have it accessible without the hassle. It seems like ARDOR is a move in that direction. ARDOR is built on their NXT platform.

They're launching the mainnet system this year which allows the creation of those child nodes so I'm interested to see what happens.
