Over the years I've replaced all the old steel frame windows and outside doors (except one which will be done within the next few months) with Aluminum ones and it was worth every cent.

Just take note with Aluminum frames its relative easy to remove the glass and burglars love it so take it into account.

This makes me think of something that happened to a friend of mine many years ago

Nighy two they could do a stealth entry by scratching out the soft new putty laying the glass on the grass and rob them with everybody in the house
