Always a "poor" signal?

Bought a new 3g vodafone modem, using it now for more then a month. Everytime i connect i never seem to get more then 2 bars or a "poor" signal. Is there anything i can do or software i can download to remedy this.

If you receive a poor signal inside your home you may consider an external antenna. It works for me!

Solved problem by moving laptop further away from tv.

I think these stick-type modems are not made for local conditions.

its pretty weird, moved laptop literally 30cm to the right, now i get very good connection. Im sure you've seen those lines on tv just before you get a call on cellphone, comes up a few seconds before one gets a call. I love technology, dont understand it as long as it works.

If you lived in a closed estate, move to the second floor. The electric fences create static.

I know you have sorted out your problems, but here are the results of a test I ran:

Using a B970 router

Internal antenna: -94db
External Yagi: -60db
