Always encrypt data stored on the cloud, warns report

The oke who wrote that (and his/her sources) is entirely clueless.

Those searching the site:www.dropbox.com/gallery in Google have access to thousands of private folders
Actually they are *public* folders. Plus in order for google to index them, the owner must have linked to it somewhere.

Dropbox must block the call-up of html pages saved in Dropbox to eliminate these kinds of attacks.
lol. Then the crooks just host it somewhere else.

Cloud storage isn’t as secure as you think – report

Those wanting to make sure their documents and photos do not fall into the hands of strangers should make sure to encrypt any files saved in cloud services.

Since your computer is more insecure than a cloud, why dont we get this same advice for everything? You have more chance of someone accessing your information through traditional methods than you would through a decent cloud.

Take for instance a Google cloud server. If one of them gets hack there is no usable information that someone could pull of it as only tiny bits of your data are stored on any one server.
