Am I being paranoid?

Proud father of a 6month old boy conceived with wife on the pill for 2 years.

We are now part of that 1%.

Wow! Some babies are just meant to be ;)

I have heard if you skip 1 day, you are at risk for 2 weeks though. Also, if you take antibiotics or other medication it can void the effects of birth control.

Totally unplanned and a bit of a shock at first. But yeah we love the little bugger.

Wife never missed a day, 100% sure of that. Even before our first she was on the pill for 6 years. That little one we planned though. :D

Wife used it for 14years with 2 planned babies.
She forgot a day a couple of times... luckily never got APoc'd.
Minerva doubles as some kind of hormone to tame the beast inside... lately I don't know.. I guess I forgot how bad it can be.
Come to think of it.. lately the pill is mostly wasted money.

Ok so from my experience on the pill:

Never personally got pregnant on it but, anti biotics of any sorts cancels it out for a period. Period.
Taking the pill does cause weight gain. in me about 10kgs in 2 years of taking it.
The pill has to be taken everyday at the same time.
It does not take 3 months after stopping the pill to get pregnant. The effects wear off pretty much be immediately.

Because pregnancy has ovulation cycles. From the first day of your period it's 12 days to your ovulation which lasts 2 days from the egg being released to your sperm finding it. Also sperm survives 5 days within a woman. So you could cum in her 5 days before the egg is released and she could still get pregnant...

There's a one week window of unprotected sex that rarely results in pregnancy and it's usually the week before her next period is due to start.

Do some research as my partner and I have been using this week without fail for 10 years.

The other 2 weeks is when you need to be cautious.

Nothing to do with the pill...you just ate too much..............

^5 for the thread title which cannot be interpreted as NSFW by passers-by, its a constant fear for us in open plan offices.

Back to the topic at hand. Drugs are bad, go get the snip!

hello

been a while. so girlfriend want's to go on birth control so condoms left alone.
i don't like this idea. did your kids appear even while on the pill?
sexy time with out condom sounds interesting but baby not so much.

give me advice, internet no help and thor has no tutorial guide yet.

Whatever you decide, please both of you go for HIV testing before you ditch the condoms.

Just to clarify, it took me 3 months after going off the pill. Wasn't saying everyone is the same.

Also, the pill doesn't cause every woman to gain weight. That's a complete myth. Maybe some. But it's not a definite.

Also some medicines can make the pill not work for a few weeks

Second child, pill/antibiotic baby.......so be careful on antibiotics with the pill......but, best "mistake" ever:D
