I stopped eating gluten and cut out sugar more than a year ago.

I dropped from 86kg down to 68kg since then.

Recently ( last 2 months ) I've been going to the gym 3 times a week doing super circuit and using the rowing machine. I'm getting stronger and more in shape, but my weight stays exactly the same.

My height is 1.78m and I'm 41.

Everyone says I look underweight. I still eat exactly same as always.
Does this fall into the "normal" parameters for a male?

Visit the doctor, because he/she can tell you for sure about whether your current weight is healthy or not etc..

Using the calculations I remember from life orientation in high school, your BMI is around 21, which is considered normal..

If you are growing stronger as you say, you should be gaining muscle weight which should see you increase your weight overall..

But, again, go see a doctor for the best advice and insights..

Try eating more healthy carbs like carrots and sweet potato on your gym days along with a good quality protein.

No such thing as a "healthy carb". They're all superfluous. There's no essential carbohydrate! I'd rather argue for a "healthy alcohol".

So what are we supposed to eat then...beef, olive oil and salt? Even on a strict Keto diet most foods have a small amount of carbs which can be added and subtracted depending on the goals and individual requirements of different people.

Which is a healthy alcohol and why? I would say Whisky for the low carbs and superior buzz.

OP sounds normal weight, I'm 47 and weigh 72kg for the last 25yrs.
I did peak at 80kg but that was because i was in a relationship and ate too much kak.
I'm now hiking every weekend in the mountains and still weigh the same, maybe it's coz i drink more beer than i use to in the week :whistling:

For comparison, I'm 1.75, 60kgs and 43. I train everyday minimum 2hours. I long time gave up giving a **** what people say. If I am fit and healthy, the jealous wankers can suck a bag of dicks as far as I'm concerned.

Nope. Google "essential carbohydrate" and let me know what you find.
When deprived of carbohydrates, our bodies can survive off of protein and fat, but only for a limited time. ... The cells of your body use circulating glucose to make energy at rest and during exercise. Not only doyour cells need carbohydrates but your brain is entirely dependent on carbs for energy.
