Reading my post again I can see where the confusion could occur :p

It could either sound like I was warning people (it may not be 4k) or downplaying it when connected with the rest of my sentence, followed by 'but'.

True that. I don't think they had any claims to the contrary, but I do recall the scandal a few months ago where certain manufacturers claimed TV's to have FHD support, when what they actually meant was that the TV processor could downscale 1080p content to fit the 720p panel.

Rather safe than sorry and all that :D

I haven't hunted specials this month, but I may consider purchasing this monitor... I remember Amazon having a crazy deal on this some time ago even with import etc, but this Wootware price is also nice.
