What are the positives of the amazon appstore. Trying to use it now and it's a laggy app. No where near as good as the play store.

Got a few good ones from them a while ago
Other than that I don't think there's anything else

Yea, nothing extra ordinary in the Amazon appstore. They have the free app of the day which is useful and sometimes there is the odd app that isn't in the Play Store for some weird reason and maybe a special or promotion. Overall , the Play store is better and got more content.

I think the only reason why this is remotely significant is because the newer Kindle devices don't get the Google Play Store and only have the Amazon App store for apps. So it being legally available here should make a big difference for Kindle Fire type of users. I'm not even sure what Kindle Fire users did in SA up to now (without spoofing their accounts and such), i assume they only read e-books ;-/

I've installed the latest Amazon Appstore from Amazon's website and I'm logged into my account with a South African address and phone number. I can't download anything off the Appstore though - when I touch 'Get app' I'm told that "there was an error purchasing <insert app name>" and to please add an address to my account. My address is listed in Amazon.

Having no issues on this side. Addicted to the two free games I got so far. Have u tried to download something free?

Yeah I have. Regardless, the Amazon app store is so unpleasant to use I uninstalled it. It makes Samsung Apps look like the Play Store.

Got it for free full version of angry birds, uninstalled it afterwards.
