Nah, my last few orders were from them... they surprisingly have started undercutting Takealot in some things.

Hahaha I think Temu is in a league of its own. Both Takealot and Amazon have an average delivery fee of R70 so far while Temu is still very cheap and free Ds.

For bric-a-brac maybe, but I couldn't find anything I want there.

Any idea If the xiaomi stick is worth getting compared to a whole new smart tv? Parents have a regular 32 inch.

Their TV Sticks are great for older tellies if the price is right. If you want a little beefier the TV Boxes from them are similar spec to the TV's themselves

Ordered a book that is "currently not in stock" although they provide an estimate of 2-8 business days (much faster than Loot, even with books that are in stock). Let's see what happens.

Okay I placed an order on Amazon for a TV. Entered my valid ID number. Entered Credit Card info and they asked for OTP. Finalised order.

Then I got the following email:



No reason has been given why it got canceled. Is this because I first need to register the ID with the SABC criminals?

I used to buy books with my Discovery miles from loot, but they seem to go the extra mile to let their customers down, so I avoid them now.

Does RV have a valid TV license? If not, I suspect that "their issue" is that there is a check in the process that is throwing an uninformative error message related to them not being able to verify the license.

Not fully yet. No movies. Few of the tech options are actually available. Most "out of stock" or "not available" at the moment. I really hope it is mety a case of them not yet having stocked stores. But some good signs. A book searched was available at basically the lical bookstore price. That is the book and NO massive delivery cost.

I mean it's a possibility, they just launched so it could favor those trying to buy a tv...they could implement some verification as they get more established here.
