Wondering if anyone else had this happen to them?

I bought the xbox series X bundle for R8,999.00 yesterday.

This morning I get hit with an "account compromised" email, and all active orders cancelled.

I have been using amazon for 10+ years and this has never happened. I have a very secure password (unique password for every website), and 2FA enabled, so it's simply impossible, unless amazon.co.za has been compromised.

I personally think someone messed up the listed price, and this is the result.

I spoke with Amazon representative now, and told them it was me, just reinstate my order. She said I would get refunded in 2 days, but if I want to order the xbox I need to do the order again, at the price of R13,999.

Absolute BS.

This confirms what I suspected. Their pricing will be local pricing, plus whatever markup the local resellers want to tack on.

Takealot just need to drop their reseller **** and then they can easily compete with Amazon.

That is bs, make a big stink on Social media and see if they'll wake up and honour the order.
Have you seen anyone else mention they have had orders cancelled?

Amazon orders can't be reinstated. Even overseas. Once they're cancelled you have to re-order. I agree however, this all sounds weird.

Yes, -R70 above R500 and there should be a priority option for the Friday at an additional cost? Maybe promotion "WELCOME" still works?
