how is it that you can the Fire Phone to and Iphone?? are the specs and build quality that good?

I don't think that the iphone build quality comes close to the firephone.

4 front facing cameras? so that Amazon servers can watch you fap in 7 dimensions?
 
Apparently build quality and camera is similar to high end Android phones but not as good as the 5S or selected Nokia's.
Great attempt by Amazon. I suspect it will do very well. Maybe even overtaking Samsung over time (In the USA of course)

The phone is designed around e-commerce. Countries where e-commerce is becoming the norm to do general shopping or access digital content, this is where the Fire Phone will do extremely good or actually where Amazon is a big thing. FireOS also only sucks in countries where there are limited Amazon Services.

The Kindle Fire has turned out to be huge success and ended up being the second most popular tablet. So as it turns out, people like FireOS

The pricing is the problem.

The e-commerce stuff should make the phone substantially cheaper than it's rivals, but it essentially costs the same.

Given a choice between FireOS, Stock android, or IOS, i'd avoid fireOS every time if i'm paying the same money.

It's selling well because it's cheap and Amazon flogs it on amazon.com at every turn.

I'm evaluating the actual merits of the device.

I also question the pricing, it is well above their latest Kindle Fire series. Is there perhaps attached services included with the price?
