Hi Guys

probably been discussed alot around here. But is the Amazon prime similar to Netflix in terms of titles available between the US and SA?

Im thinking of signing up to the Amazon Prime, but just want to know if its available, and whether i should stick to Netflix or go to Prime?

Its not worth it for SA.

The catalog is reasonably small so unless you're utilising the other Prime benefits - specifically shipping (which you can't in SA) then its not worthwhile.

but what is the library like compared to Netflix? do they also restrict certain titles like what Netflix does?

I'd imagine the library does differ between the various regions - haven't really checked. Its definitely region blocked for SA so you'll need to bypass that anyway.

I enjoyed Black Sails, but beyond that I haven't really used it much.

I enjoy Amazon, mostly because I get it for free thanks to my dad in the US, but don't they still offer a trial?

Trying out amazon prime video trial as plenty kids shows that my kids like, been downloading them offline using openvpn and vps in LA.

Been hit and miss at keeping stable connection.

What other/better ways are there, DNS(unlocator) and then using ,macbook to stream to ATV4?

Would Hola do the trick?

The best 4 streaming channels Netflix for binge watching and originals , Hulu for series , HBO for movies and Google play for VOD .Total cost will be around $30 per month Amazon prime is not really that good .

Amazon Prime is not worth it for the money - I signed up so I could watch Outlander but they certainly don't have a lot of content & you have to pay a year in advance

Or you can pay monthly. $10.99 pm for full Prime and $8.99 pm for just the video aspect of it.

I had Prime way back when it was R900 a year and when Unotelly and Netflix combined was R150. I had HULU as well for a while

All three together is definitely not worth it so much duplication and fluff. I liked Amazon but there were some streaming issues and the interface was not great, it wasn't organised in to seasons and not all the seasons were complete. Im not sure if they have improved the streaming now but I'd probably look at them again soon when the new Clarkson show starts.

Amazon is great if you want to pay for very new movies.
