Quick question around purchasing a Cellphone off Amazon.

What am I looking out for, in terms of it being unlocked, and working off all our networks? I do see global unlocked, but would I still need to check any GSM bands etc

Yes, you'll need to make sure it's compatible on our GSM bands:

Technology	Bands
Bands 5G	n78 (3500)
Bands 4G	B1 (2100), B3 (1800), B38 (TDD 2600), B40 (TDD 2300)
Bands 3G	B1 (2100), B5 (850), B8 (900)
Bands 2G	B3 (1800), B8 (900)

Warranty will be a bigger issue.

If it is unlocked / global and ships to south africa it should be fine. Just the charger plug that might need an adaptor.

Bands haven't been an issue for many years now. Most high end to mid phones support global bands. Even https://willmyphonework.net/ stopped bothering updating their site.
